Superset
Designed as a way to maximize efficiency during a workout session, supersets are accomplished when an individual performs two opposing muscle group exercises with no break between them. An example of this would bicep curls followed immediately by two-arm overhead tricep extensions. The idea is that one muscle group rests while the other is targeted thus cutting down the rest time between focusing on a single muscle group at a time.
While this method can be very time efficient, it is also quite exhausting as the body has little to no recovery time as there is constant muscular contraction.
