Human Growth Hormone (HGH)
Human Growth Hormone (HGH) is naturally produced by the pituitary gland. The primary purpose of HGH is to stimulate growth in children and teenagers. Medically related uses of synthetically produced HGH are for the treatment of individuals short in height, Turner's syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, chronic kidney disease, natural HGH deficiency, Short bowel syndrome, and muscle atrophy.
Individuals have been found to abuse synthetic HGH, especially in the competitive body building and sports worlds. This is due to the belief that HGH can aid in greater muscle growth/recovery.
