The vitamins the body uses come in two types: fat-soluble and water-soluble. When a vitamin is fat-soluble, it means it can be stored in the body for later use. Water-soluble vitamins are expelled via liquid waste and must be consumed daily to maintain a constant supply. Only vitamins A, D, E, and K are fat-soluble, the others are water-soluble.
